Election 2020 – Civilize It

Election season often brings with it a lot of hostility –  among our friends, co-workers, acquaintances, family members, and of course strangers on the internet. Since we’re directly between the Democratic National Convention and the Republican National Convention, we invited Matt Davis from the Diocese of Camden’s Office of Life and Justice to join us this week to chat about the civil discourse initiative from the USCCB called Civilize It. It’s a program that reminds us how we can, and should, be able to engage in spirited political debate and dialogue without it devolving into personal attacks and hateful rhetoric. Our hosts Mary McCusker and Mike Walsh also chat with him about how Catholics can embrace faithful citizenship, so that we can wisely bring our faith into the voting booth (or as we sit down to fill out a mail-in ballot).
