Each month, join Talking Saints hosts Laurie Power and Pete Sanchez as they dive into the lives of the saints – their work, their joys, their struggles, their passion for the Catholic faith.
This past July, the program was recognized as “Best Podcast Program” by the National Catholic Press Association of the United States and Canada in their annual Catholic Press Award ceremony. Last year, Talking Saints was named 2nd best in the same category.
These inspiring stories will set your heart ablaze and on fire to joyfully live out a life for the Lord, in the realization that, as Pope Francis says, “To be saints is not a privilege for the few, but a vocation for everyone.”

About our hosts:

Pete Sanchez
Pete Sanchez has had a blast learning about and sharing the lives of the Saints with his co-host, Laurie, since its inception in March 2018. He was humbled and honored when the podcast was recognized in 2019 by the Catholic Press Association’s Press Awards, with 2nd place in the category of “Best Podcast Program.” When not in the recording studio, Pete can be found throughout South Jersey’s Catholic communities as a journalist with the Catholic Star Herald newspaper, chronicling the inspiring stories of the faithful. His personal saint heroes are John Paul II, Joan of Arc, and Thomas More.

Laurie Power
Laurie Power cannot imagine journeying through life without the prayers and example of the holy men and women who have gone before us to heaven. Talking Saints has been an incredible opportunity to grow closer to them. Prior to serving as the Director of Evangelization and Discipleship at Christ the Redeemer Parish in Atco, Laurie was the Director of Faith Formation at Holy Child Parish in Runnemede and also discerned religious life with the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in Nashville, TN. The saints who have most impacted her life are Our Blessed Mother Mary, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Dominic and St. Maria Goretti.
